It does illustrate one of humanity’s failings quite nicely though. Every new technology that makes life ‘easier’ just means greater expectation from employers of you doing more work during time that you never used to work.

If I could work whilst on the bike rather than sitting in a chair then on many days I think I'd be a lot happier.

You'd better switch your cargo bike build to this then ;-)

Being able to work on a self-driving bike also assumes you're going to be stuck in traffic (yet another example of "automobile thinking" inappropriately applied to bikes, see Give Way lines and road junction markings on cycle paths for example)

@gembo - my business partner made me post it!

There is a self righting enclosed motorbike. Not self driving yet afaik.

Tilting pedal e-trikes are a thing although controlling the correct amount of lean electronically would take more energy than human power.

One of my Strava buddies has a recumbent bike set up under his office desk on a Wahoo Kickr direct drive trainer. He rides all day every day on Zwift while working. Averages about 800 miles every week. I don’t fancy that myself but when I saw his neat setup and nice airy dry shed, I did get a bit of shed envy :) My trainer is in a garage with dusty bare concrete floor and damp coming down one of the walls that is also a retaining wall for the back lawn.

Nah, I'll just park myself in the cargo bucket and you can cycle me around :)
