Route - go up Red Road Gravel to bealach at West Kip. Turn west on the gravel road (not footpath to Monks Rig or Braid Law). Stay on the road when it turns to earth. Stay on the road when it turns to grass. At the moment it has been so dry it does not turn to water. Get off and push where you want. I did. There is a stream to ford, shallow. Then a big hill to push up (Cock Rig) then descend onto the path down to Carlops. Dont go down. Go up to the Borestane. Then take the chunky gravel down at an alarming rate of knots.

Feel exhilarated because of the descent but also because you finally after many years linked West Kip to The Borestane.
