Pity Joe didn’t gift him one of the wonderful American handmade recumbent bikes- like the Lightning P 38 made in California for several decades
A bent PM would be cool

    “Lovely bike“

    You’re entitled to your opinion.

According to Peter Walker, Boris Johnson used to leave his bike propped against a wall (unlocked) outside the Houses of Parliament. That bike was also a freebie, from when he did the 100 mile Ride London event as Mayor.

I wonder if this one will be treated similarly.

Hand built frame, wireless shifting, 520% gear range (check out the size of the cassette - I've ridden bikes with smaller wheels)! Reckon that would be quite fun to ride - they even chucked in a custom Bern helmet as well.

    From link -

So far, we haven’t seen Boris Johnson actually riding the bike, or any photos of Biden delivering it. But as Bilenky told ABC News 4, “I hope the bike doesn’t just sit there. It is not a museum piece; it’s made to be ridden”

I thought it was quite a clever move. Probably the only thing they have in common (other than political ambition) is an enjoyment of bike riding?

It's not totally my cup of tea but it's got a few redeeming features (1x electronic shifting, hand-made custom frame). I don't even hate the paint job.
With that build I'd have probably went with a drop bar and a carbon fork to turn it into a fast commute/cross bike but that's personal preference.

One thing I did notice is that it appears to have a set of absolute bargain bin Schwalbe Lugano's on it!

As nice as the sentiment is, it’s also surely the most awkward gift ever... At least when you’re not PM, no one will know if you chuck that unwanted present in the back of a wardrobe and then donate it to Shelter 6 months later, as you’re not being followed by the paps.
