I think we all have been there...
Came across this YouTube channel. A guy explores the core shared paths through Livi. I like this idea of going about Livi to see what's there.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

I did that many years ago. Strange experience, quite a few nice paths and no users!
Had previously been to Milton Keynes to look at the Greenways. Thing I remember most was that a lot of paths were covered in gravel to keep bike speeds down! Not fun.
Sounds like Stevenage - https://roadswerenotbuiltforcars.com/stevenage/
tldr; great cycling network, but also great car network. People chose the easiest option and so the cycle network was gradually compromised in favour of it, both by ceding priority at new junctions and not being extended to new destinations.
Was only ever in Stevenage proper one time. Pavement shared with bikes and for some reason motorbikes.
Possibly not official, this was in maybe 1988.
Lot of nice countryside once you are out of the conurbation.
I went back to Livi a number of years ago to see if my memory was correct after being surprised by the lack of cycling infra in my new area.
I've been in the 'new' house 10 years now and still miss Livi from a cycling infra perspective.
