I was going to call it "signs of spring", then I realised that's a couple of months premature. However, I thought it worthwhile noting that things are slowly, almost imperceptibly getting "better"*...

    - For me, as of Monday I've not been wearing my rubber booties. They haven't been off since the end of November when it started to get *really* cold.

    - Also, by the time I get showered, changed and up to my desk, it's now light enough outside to not need lights.

    * = as far as the seasons are concerned, if not the driving or road surfaces

It snowed here in April in 1995, too. I have photographs to prove it, although they lack any EXIF data.
