Court tomorrow? Good one. The investigative part of the system working well for once.

either he was determined to get home or somehow thought driving half the length of the country would allow him to escape the cctv network.
Either way the police seem unimpressed!

Of course ‘we’ don’t speculate.
Just wonder if he was clocked for speeding along the way.
Wots the (likely) sentence for hit and run?
Do ‘how far’ and ‘how badly injured’ get taken into account?
Sentenced tomorrow? If not, remanded in custody?
Presume there were several witnesses.

“crash involving a cyclist and a car”
Not car and bicycle?
Crash more honest than ‘accident’ given the arrest.

Sentenced tomorrow? If not, remanded in custody?
Tomorrow will just be hearing to set subsequent dates. He wont enter a plea until his lawyer has seen the evidence and provided advice. Before that the PF will need to receive a police report and decide whether to proceed with prosecution. Long way to go yet.... No chance of being remanded in custody (from what we know).Posted 3 years ago # -
