I've got to get into the town centre from Trinity tomorrow and I'd prefer to avoid arriving a sweaty mess - as far as I can tell the route with the fewest steep inclines is along the cycle path through St Mark's Park, then along McDonald Road and up the Walk to Leith Street etc, but I'm not sure what the current state of affairs is around the Elm Row section - is it still all barriers and weaving diversions?

The McDonald Road junction is closed but you can follow the diversion along Annandale Street Lane and then Elm Row to the Picardy Place lanes. I did it earlier today and it wasn't too bad, McDonald Road and Annandale Street both quiet.
