If you were a witness of the accident that occurred on the 12-Aug at around 1:08pm, involving a white van hitting a cyclist and attempting to run away from the scene, please contact me at 07999 779 257.

If not for the pedestrians that got involved there are good chances that the driver would have manged to get away from the accident scene. A big thank you to all pedestrians that stood up against this hit and run driver.

I think this incident was mentioned by Boff on the bad drivers thread- they had to use thier vehicle to stop the drivist buffering off.

The video is pretty shocking, that guy had no intention of taking any responsibility.

The video is no longer viewable (maybe just as well) because the entire post has been removed and the thread locked by the reddit mods because the poster included their phone number in it.

EDIT: The OP has re-posted sans phone number and confirmed that the police have been involved. The van driver's attitude does make him come across as an idiot who shouldn't allowed behind the wheel.

It’s ok to leave the scene of an accident because ‘the insurance will pay for it’ (the bike)??

Which might be ‘fine’ if driver stopped long enough to hand over details…

He really seemed oblivious to the reality of the situation (and his role in it)!
