If anyone with a bit of tech know-how wants to set up a Twitter bot to monitor average speed over a set location, you can follow the instructions here:

    https://github.com/BerkshireCar/SpeederBot

    An example here:

    https://twitter.com/Holyrood_park/status/1428027787613556737

18-08-2021 17:14 PM a vehicle was detected apparently traveling at a free flow speed of 27.33 MPH on Queens Drive in Hollyrood Park towards Edinburgh. #SpeederBot #SaferRoads #HolyroodCarFree #RoadSafety #Speeding

Holyrood Park was the first place I thought of when I saw this the other day, glad to see someone's got there first!

Is it still working for Holyrood Park? I've tried to set one up for Charterhall/Blackford, but no data coming through, but also don't see data coming through for the Park, and I can't believe that everybody has stopped speeding there ...

The API only seems to return data for the nearest main (i.e. A) roads

So a local street in Marchmont returns data for the A700 (Melville Dr) and the A702 (Morningside Rd) only

Would have to ask HERE Traffic API if they plan to improve the granularity

I think the Holyrood bot has been switched off because of this problem
