All traffic routed round Forrest Rd towards Bristo.
Access to Chamber St possible on foot/bike.
If heading into city yiu could go through Greyfriars on foot.
    Candlemaker Row closed.
Fast changing situation. Lots of smoke.

Buses routed down Chamber Street today. City has to do without George IV Bridge for a bit longer I reckon.
Still can't walk along any of it yet. Fire Service still on scene. They did well to contain it and sorry to hear that one of their team got injured when a floor collapsed.

You can walk your bike on the eastern pavement beside Nandos. 100 yard block fenced off around burnt out shops.

Rest of road is technically closed to vehicles although space for bikes. In fact I saw a guy walking his bulldog there as really nice and quiet today. Thanks to closure there was space for his military style Landrover to park on central reservation. He got his dog back on board and headed off easily today.

He may have come up from delivery in Victoria St as that is semi pedestrianised / two way but no through route.

Twitter has more debate on how the city will survive with this street only open for walkers and cyclists walking bikes.
