I’m sure there will be people here who will be discussing cycle infrastructure with her…
The problem with by-elections in multi ward seats, is that they are more like FPTP than PR as only one candidate is being elected
Both winners are likely to be reelected next year, but there’s a lot for all Parties to ‘play for’
It could be argued that the SNP were unwise/overoptimistic to call by-elections (though presumably it was primarily up to sitting candidates?) - or perhaps more ‘democratic(?)
Whether all Cllrs should stand down if elected as MSPs or MPs is a valid Q
