There are a few groups I believe.

One en route right now is @Solfie - came in through Dover.
3 x Babboe cargobikes with assist. One solar so bit of an art thing. Dressed as superheroes.

Passing back through Edinburgh next week on return to NL.

They just went through model cycle city Birmingham. I warned them in email that no amount of cycling in NL can prepare them for fantasy Island.

"Birmingham was a real nightmare. Never experienced such poor infrastructure and bike unfriendliness.

    “Dressed as superheroes”

I had an idea to get a Batman costume and race the Tour of Britain peloton along the A7 in Stow on the m5. If he was ever going to ride a bike it would be a black m5… Pavement too bumpy though. Also too small a run out at the crossroads.

Next time. You can be Robin on yours :) Batman couldn’t possibly ride a blue one.

Of course you would need to change the current M5 steerer set to superman handle bars first!
Ed Pratt ( unfortunate name) who unicycled around the world a couple of years back ,met up with crazy Englishman in superman costume also cycling the globe (on conventional bike)in aid of various good causes
    Good videos on YouTube
If you are superman on your M5 and laid back is robin, what am I on mine?
Just a geriatric trying to go as fast as possible with the least possible effort
At least mine is black ,but does it make me super grandpa.?

Can't answer all these M5 related superhero scenarios.
What I will say is flowing capes and bikes / brakes can have mishaps.
@solfiesroad2Glasgow has had one I think. Their guide also had lock cut and bike stolen near Manchester. Weather is grim.
Things could go either way as they head north!

Pedal on Parliament also had link to other road bike group heading over the Cheviot towards Peebles and on to Glasgow around now. Need to find that.

Pretty sure Superman would ride a prone bike. That would have to be Graeme Obree.

    Very cool!

Might even work with a cape if you're careful....
