Thank you to everyone who has completed our Scotwind survey already - 755 submitted to date. BUT we need more if we are to stand a chance of making community owned offshore wind a reality. This is a very simple survey that on average takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

The survey can be accessed at https://energy4all.co.uk/offshore/

We would be very grateful if you could also forward this e-mail on to your friends and family in Scotland and encourage them to complete it too.

Seems similar (albeit potentially more community focussed) than Ripple Energy which is allowing people to join a Cooperative which owns its own wind turbine in exchange for a reduction in electricity bills.

They are just building their first turbine in Wales and about to take orders for their 2nd.

(Full disclosure: I chipped into to their latest crowdfunding)

Ripple Energy have just launched to the public the opportunity to buy a share in an 8 wind turbine windfarm in Ayrshire which will then reduce customer's electricity bills for the next 25 years.

I've bought# a tiny fraction but it feels good to know that I have contributed to a move to really* green energy.

*as a opposed to traded green credits

#not investment advice etc. Although PM me if you want a referral code :-)
