Looking at map it seems likely to be Longstone to Haikes Quarry park? Apparently local diversion will be posted.
@SRD thanks for the info. Mr bill very unhappy as he uses it every day for his runs.
Piling works will commence at Redhall on the Union Canal on Monday 25th April and will last approximately three weeks.

We ran that way yesterday and indeed that section is blocked and you have to go over along that gravelly ramp.
