My Super-C panniers from 2001 have the old-style anti-sway catches. Like this:

For some weird reason both of mine fell off on Thursday last week. I managed to recapture one, but the other is gone for good.

Carradice now no longer sell the original style[1] just the new style which claims to be incompatible with older rails. Everywhere else (SJS included) seems to be out of stock with the old style.

I note that a particular Rixen+Kaul hook looks very very similar but claims to be for Altura panniers

Can anyone confirm whether it works on old Super-Cs as well?

[1] Well, they actually did claim they sold them, but they told me today that this was not the case. Oh well.

Carradice hardware is Rixen & Kaul. You might look for an old EBC or Altura pannier for example, they used the same anti-sway catch.

    Perfect, mystery solved. Thankyou!

Plenty of places seem to sell the fitting, just don't mention it works for Carradice.

Yeah, they're the same as the ones on my "vintage" Altura Arrans (twenty years young and still going strong). Hopefully not too hard to find...

EDIT: I see SJS do actually have them in stock, complete with rail:

Or without, for the same price?

EBC had them. Hopefully I should be able to collect them in a day or two.

    Thanks all.
