I remember from a while back when I used to post on here, someone was into bricks ! Anyway, it appears that firebricks are now in very short supply in the uk ! So , steins in whitecross, long since destroyed, BUT, lots of roadways within the site were made of bricks, people are now industrial scale stealing them ! Lots of very unusual recipes dating back to 60s are now just lying about . Just saying !

I wanted very much to haul away a load of Thistle and Nettle bricks to rebuild my driveway. I last went to Manuel brickworks in late 2018, and the pickings were still pretty good, but you'd've need a handy Bobcat to shift the concrete barriers to get your Transit van into the site. Owning neither a Transit nor a Bobcat, I was able to liberate only two or three noteworthy bricks when I visited in 2016.

Arrelcat , many many thistle , mullirte etc lying about, the bobcats have been in and ripped up the roadways , all lying loose ! No barriers in place, and access from canal behind church is unrestricted ,
