A grim ride round the Pentlands today - Type III fun for sure.
Lot's of grim stars aligned - head winds, snow showers that merged into proper snow (white roads and everything), oodles of slush, surface water and road wide puddles hiding some wicked potholes.
Stopped at AP for a (delicious) paradise slice which refused to enliven my performance, instead it sat in the pit of my stomach making me feel queasy for the entire ride back.
And then, the icing on the cake, a mechanical left me in the little ring from West Linton to home.
Hurrumph.

@vladimpala - you know it's bad when even an AP stop doesn't work! Wouldn't be many cyclists out then? Imagine @gembo or @bill might have considered.
Writing on warm and fast train back from Glasgow after early Celtic Connections concert. Couple of bikes on board. Not ours though!Posted 2 years ago # -
Didn't see another cyclist until the moors road between West Linton and Penicuik.
To avoid the worst of the weather I did go through Livingston and up the road past the dogs trust place towards Woolfords and Auchengray.
Might have seen more if I had stuck to the A70.Posted 2 years ago #
