when i cut and paste i can see the whole schlemozzle but when i click to finish, truncates to just Carnwath moira. Tant pis.

Made it to Carnwath quite slowly this morning. East wind sort of Cross? road open though.
there was a mental row going on where the pretty crack witch pie staff member was being hit by a big fat man's stick for there not being any rhubarb pies. was bantz all laughing. but he did keep going on about lack of rhubarb.
the big fat man and his big fat wife bought a massive amount of cake like for a whole old folks home and when asked about a party were like non-plussed as i think was all for them.
moira arrived with a wee jack russell and a walking stick

Be good if the Apple Pie would open up in South Midlothian or somewhere else within reasonable distance of my house. By Gladhouse, they'd do fanstatic trade

All those wild swimmers looking for Chittery Bites are a captive market. Sadly pie rearm venture looks even less likely. They do have an offshoot in Kirkmuirhill but seem to only abide in South Lanarkshire.

Went through to Ayr yesterday, wind was not as forecast so stiff westerly all the way until the Sorn turn which has four climbs but was at least not into the wind.

The Apple pie cafe has opened after seven years. It is fabulous.

The Douglas Bakery is tremendous. The bike shop next door is great with bargains galore. The road surface has been much improved although as with The Whang Scottish road builders don’t seem to know how to put in stanks. The iron work causes the road around the drain to crumble. Just one new section on the Whang from bottom of Auchinoon. Brae to Kirknewton turn and just one section near the border of south Lanarkshire and east Ayrshire. I think rain and snow and ice also a factor. But these are both relatively new sections of repaired road so the engineers need to learn better techniques?
