Yes I am hearing Blackhall and maybe Preston St.

Good amount and getting to a critical mass

Will reduce car usage in leafier areas

Won’t tackle obesity crisis but can’t have everything

Looking at the non-RC catchment map

    https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/downloads/file/22329/non-denominational-primary-school-catchment-areas

it’s not clear how many other schools ‘need’ a BB.

Some have small catchments with schools fairly central.

It’s not surprising that Sciennes was the first as it has a long catchment area with the school at one end.

    Other CEC schools -

Good point. Also needs a central route that allows people to join.

Dean Park looks to have the biggest area but the concentrations of population don’t fit neatly on one route.

Hillwood has an interesting catchment, large area though maybe mostly airport? Anyway it is tiny, smallest or second smallest.

    History

Increased car travel and a corresponding reduction in walking and cycling to school has deprived a generation of children of independence, has been responsible for reduced physical activity with its health consequences, has led to increased traffic congestion and pollution and contributed to high rates of road accidents.

Great to see the kid in the Proviz jacket still to the forefront given he cycled down to bottom of Lanark Road and climbEd all the way back up. Good effort. Sorry for Not Shouting just talking.

They are traffic. Therefore they do not stop "traffic"

The word "traffic" being misused to only mean "motor vehicles"

Thanks to all for making the first George Watson's College bike bus to be a success. The kids and adults enjoyed the experience!

Not saying this was the first in Edinburgh - certainly not the world, but it is 10 years ago.
