The railway here is largely on an embankment and it crosses the River (Ore) several times between Thornton Junction and the Papermill site

There also appears to be 1 or 2 culverts connecting drainage to the North at this point (shown on maps) through to the river (to the South)

Doubledykes Road also crosses UNDER the main line to Markinch slightly to the West of this point

It would be useful to know whether the planning of the reopening included (flood) water management provision and clearing/enhancing the existing culverts

A prudent move would thus be to provide for drainage of the land 'uphill' to the North of the reopened railway, which has sufficient capacity to manage the likely future variation in rainfall

For well over 30 years a shared culvert at Aviemore station has delivered a safe grade separated crossing under the HML and Speyside Railways to save over 1 Km of diversion for pedestrian and cycle traffic to Dalfaber Village and the Speyside Railway sheds. This has largely eliminated the trespass of many taking the short cut directly across the railway entering via the access to Aviemore Signalbox

Can someone get access the the project team? At this late stage, is there any likely change to plans for culverts being renewed or upgraded?
