Hi all. Bike shop question - is the electric cycle company down at Granton still operating?

    Thanks

Been on the rumour mill for weeks. Distributors have commented.
It's a worry and hope he's ok. Always a demand for servicing especially for cargo bikes.

This Single Track forum raised it a month ago it seems

Admin - could you change heading to Electric Cycle Company as use of Edinburgh was/is confusing with the Bike Coop?

Is this going to be a supply chain issue? Surely demand for electric bikes has never been higher.

Thanks all - my wife broke the front light on her Bergamont e-bike. Couldn't get any response from ECC, Bike Coop were unsure on replacement parts, but got in touch with bike shop in Kelso who stock Bergamont and have been able to source. Hopefully all sorted now, or at least will be when parts arrive.

Yes - I mucked up the heading, couldn't work out how to change from my phone last night! Thanks for fixing.

    Thanks

It’s my shop. I’ve been having a few mental health issues so unfortunately I’ve called time on the shop. Been badly let down by staff, suppliers and my landlord. The stress of the workload during pandemic and Brexit has taken its toll on me and I just can’t do this anymore.

That is sad to hear. It's always bad to hear of a viable business going under for what seem like unnecessary issues.

The story of what happened is here: https://www.facebook.com/electriccyclecompany/posts/5654078837985988
Whether this is the full story is hard to say of course...

I just get a blank page with that link. Is it the post Neill wrote on 20 September?
