Some of this sounds very promising .... but will it deliver?

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Perth station needs a lick of paint and a good clean, that's for sure
Perth was listed as one of the few stations with timber as part or all of the platforms in UK (Roughly 86 stations in 2600)

Perth is a magnificent station, but realistically much bigger than optimum for the current passenger usage - though it’s not clear what could be done to make it better!
As a result must be hard to maintain ‘economically’ and so looks a bit neglected.
Plenty trains though https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/gb-nr:PTH/2022-10-26/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=pax-calls&order=wtt
Lots of big flash there, but frankly they'd do more good for more people by focusing on making the network more accessible not just a couple of main stations(as an afterthought while tarting them up/adding more retail space to rent out). How many stations and platforms can *only* be accessed by stairs? They maybe can't stop Network Rail in their relentless quest to prevent anyone with a disability or a bicycle from being able to cross the tracks by replacing all crossings with steeply stepped bridges, but they can surely sort the issue out inside stations themselves.
