I’d seen the slope from the road many times, but hadn’t realised there was flat bit at the top!

CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I've never been to Starbank Park either. It looks rather lovely.
The fountain was vandalised before being dismantled over 20 years ago. The base was recently converted to a garden feature.
I wonder if now would be the time to reinstate it?

I've lived in* Edinburgh for many years and have never been to Corstorphine Hill Walled Garden.
* or a bit outside
Might be extra worth a visit on Saturday!
Starbank Park is well worth visiting in the Spring when the cherry blossom is out. I hadn't been there until one of my early lockdown wanders.
First picture made me think it was here:

Saughton Park Gardens is possibly unexpectedley lovely in a similar way.
Saughton Park always used to well worth a visit for its Winter and Rose Gardens.
The Skatepark obviously attracted more people to the area.
The newer developments, including the cafe, makes it even more of a ‘proper destination’
AND it has decentish paths to it - along the WoL.

Just clicked your link.
Looks interesting.
Been past many times, never thought of having a look!
I've lived in Edinburgh for more than twenty years and I've never been to Dr Neil's Garden. TBH, I'd never heard of it until a couple of years ago. (I'd also never visited Redhall Walled Garden until earlier this year, despite the fact that the MiL lives literally just around the corner from it.)
On a tangentially related note, does anyone know where this is?
It popped up on The Repair Shop yesterday evening and was described as being in Edinburgh. The chap in the foreground apparently did it up from a near-ruin:
It looks rather similar to some of James Gowan's work e.g. these cottages on Redhall Bank Drive, but it's not one of his that I'm aware of.
“On a tangentially related note, does anyone know where this is?“
Talking of tangents, if you’ve been to RWG…
Original (tiny) house added to. I think it was originally for managers of the quarry.

Aha, many thanks! Well done for finding that. I've only ever been to RWG (or past it, on the way down to the WoL walkway) via the footpath/track that leads off Redhall View (shown on that alltrails map), never via the lane that leads directly off Lanark Road. I never even knew there was a building there!
At least I was right spotting as a Gowan design.
