Need to contact customercare @eta.co.uk, apparently.

    Some more info here: https://www.eta.co.uk/trust/pop-up-zebra/

Do you have a location in mind? Might be best if request came via a school?

It's a fun idea for a transient protest/publicity stunt but I doubt a school would want to be explicitly involved - if there was an accident that arose from what is essentially unlawful road signage then presumably the school could be mega liable, or at the very least individuals could end up in big trouble.

fair points. I think I would target a crossing where - according to revised Highway Code -- pedestrians should have priority anyway.

eg Merchiston Ave at Granvill Terrace?

    But I wasn't asking seriously.

Instead of a pop-up crossing, what about pop-up modal filters - these would probably be appropriate in many places where "a crossing is needed"

    Oil drums filled with concrete...
