Can anyone advise where the ticket validator for a Scotrail smart pass is?
For use on the Borders railway, if that makes any difference.
Thanks!

IT’S TRUE!

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Thank you. Have you used one?
Have a further question about app /card interface.
I haven't used one, no.
This video might be helpful.
Thanks. Had watched. But appreciate all the advice.
(Asking for a friend!)
I used to use one but prefer to have the tickets on my phone as it's a lot less faff. The validators aren't always in what would seem the most logical locations so I often needed to walk about looking for them. There isn't always consistency between different stations either. As you need to validate your pass at the start AND end of each journey this often equated to faff*2.
update - all seems to have worked fine. thanks everyone for the advice.
@cyclops: Figure it's worth the pfaff for £4 ticket all week (with Young Scot entitlement card). Also means work experience student can be flexible with trains.
