This tracker is much better for viewing:

and it de-anonymizes!
Posted 1 year ago # -
Well there’s anonymous and anonymous.
I’m sure there are people here who know who that is, but CCE name will remain anonymous until/if rider chooses to add a report here…

Thanks bill, found the tracker from site link, but it took a bit of clicking.
Really neat tracker.
A couple of people currently in/on the water!

It must be the season for it. The PCR is also currently underway. Starting in France and finishing in Wales. I've got a friend riding in it but I'm not aware of any forumites doing so.

Rider 1000 is nearly home!
Posted 1 year ago # -
Haha!
Posted 1 year ago # -
That rider is destined never to quite arrive
Posted 1 year ago # -
@bill, haven't you got something to do?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Rider 17 is now more than half way round and currently in 2nd place with at least 2 others on the same boat.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Up to second I had bill as 3rd but on same boat with 2nd through to 5th
Well over half way
All downhill now
Oh wait Bealch na Ba tomorrow
Is a great route and I wish I could cycle without sleep and had an ass of iron.

sorry to see the rider who had been in the lead has DNF'd
Posted 1 year ago # -
In some pain I hear
But means Bill on the podium.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Seems to be a race of attrition, literally in at least one case. Weather has been testing.

Bill has past Ullapool - next stage is even more exhausting looking. Leading rider is now heading south but big kudos to anyone doing this at all!
Bill has at least ridden some of these roads before recently? (I think as their mileage is hard to keep tabs on!)Posted 1 year ago # -
Bill has I think ridden most of the 1000 miles at different times. But not all together like Bill is doing now. Bill hugely consistent throughout. Podium beckons.

I couldn't find number 17 on the tracker, until I zoomed right in and found that they were, at that point, in the same place as number 25. Phew.
Posted 1 year ago # -
It looks like it ought to be all downhill from where no 17 is?! ;)
When is finish expected? tempted to turn up and cheer.
Posted 1 year ago # -
They've "only" got to go over the Lecht and Glenshee yet...
Posted 1 year ago # -
@srd - there is an ETA on the info if you hover over a competitor but it looks like it's based on average moving speed.
If they didn't stop again, that would be around 7:00am tomorrow, so more realistically around mid-day tomorrow? (I'm totally armchair guessing here)

Remember ends at south Queensferry
Curry in Inverness currently.

Curry in Inverness currently
Risky strategy?

Rocket fuel

No. 17 still third. Heading for Glenshee.
ETA says 8 hours.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Looks like the leader's going to finish around half nine.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Has had his nose in front since the previous leader DNF’d I think he might have caugh5 her anyway as she went off fast and maybe damaged herself whereas he was in the peloton initially. Then sped off.
No 17 has the end in sight, her riding buddy has also started to edge in front so I think third but still on the podium which is an incredible feat of endurance.

Number 17 going over Glenshee as I write. 80 miles to go and ETA about 5pm according to the tracker (it is currently 9:30 and the tracker says 7h 33 minutes to go).
