Just hearing news that Chris Oliver has died - in Wales, where he had moved from Edinburgh

He delivered a valuable piece on tram track crashes, which affirmed data from Toronto & other cities on the common factor in many crashes - the influence of other road users causing the cyclist to concentrate less on crossing the rails, and thus fall off

Not spotted on CCE, unless I've missed something

Sorry to hear this. As well as the cycling aspect I went through a phase of being a semi-regular in his fracture clinic with various broken/dislocated fingers from playing in goals.

So sorry to hear the news. I crossed paths with Chris as we lost weight and found our passion of cycling.

Thoughts for his family, friends x

It’s Chris’s daughter Catherine here. We are heartbroken about the death of our dad, husband, grandpa Chris last week. He was an inspiring force in the cycling and health communities. Thank you for your kind words and article.
