Yesterday I was cycling just West of the meadows and entered the LEZ, spotted the word on the ground.
Today I was cycling just east of the Meadows and found myself exiting the LEZ.
What a tiny LEZ
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Edinburgh's LEZ is just 3.14 square kilometres in size, that's 1.2% of the Council area.
Blink and you miss it.
Even “low emission” is a misnomer. You can’t burn stuff and be low emission. And even the tyres are emitting significant amounts of particulates
It is so small you can freewheel through so nothing burnt but still the tyre particulates.
As it is so small people should just carry their cars through it,
I haden't previously clocked the rather obvious fudge on Regent Road, giving LEZ free access to Calton Hill and the old Royal High building.
And also LEZ free access to the east entrance to
St Andrew's House
...but... only the entrance is outside the LEZ. If you were to drive into the carpark beyond you'd be entering the LEZ, but will that be enforced?
I think the fudge is to allow ancient and highly polluting coaches to park in the Regents Rd Coach Park and U-turn at the mini-roundabout
Also, I wonder if they will enforce the LEZ at the entrance to St James Centre car park from Elder St?
