I am sure that there are many on here who have heard of Dr Ian Walker.
If he were to come to Edinburgh to give a talk, would you rather hear about:
A) his research
or
B)his record-breaking pan-European cycling?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Research please.
I'm a B. But tbh both would be really interesting.
I would like to hear about him wearing long wigs while cycling please.
I'm not overly interested in ultra-cycling, ultra-running, ultra-marathons, Ironman Triathlons, Iron Butt Rallies and the like, but I am particularly interested in research on road danger.
There are also other people talking about long-distance cycling of various kinds, but not many other people doing the sort of research that Dr Walker does, so I vote to hear about that (and I'm a person who would also go to the talk about long-distance cycling).
Just to follow up on this, Ian will be giving two talks covering both subjects: How to break the trans-Europe cycling world record in 10 easy steps and What can psychology tell us about creating healthy, happy places?.

Yes, I was looking at the EdFoC programme and saw the first talk, and thought "Oh, that's disappointing, obviously he would rather talk about his long-distance cycling" and then realised that he is going to do talks about both!
