Having grumbled to myself for months about the state of one of the cycle paths on my regular commute from the station to my office, I finally got round to locating the right bit of the West Lothian Council website to complain about the lack of clearing of last year's fallen leaves.
"They'll never find this," thought I, "It's tucked away behind some houses, they'll go round the front and find nothing."
So the following morning, lo and behold, someone had done a quick clean of the affected area! It wasn't great, but it was better that it had been. But then, after the weekend (I usually work from home Monday and Friday), they'd been back again and given it a really thorough clean. I was impressed.
Next year I'll complain earlier!
