Anyone know if anything has/is happening?

Subject to necessary funding and approvals, the path is scheduled to open to the public in late 2025. Once complete the route will be fully adopted under the City of Edinburgh Council’s road maintenance programme.

    That is tattie fill arious.

Though if I had a shovel and a team of shovelellers the pavement could be widened as envisagesd and used as a bike lane.

No one really walks there much. Not lit. The road is quiet so is ok to cycle. But kids for sure. The pavement is a foot above the road as you come out the back gate of Heriot watt so will require more attention.

If it is green lit. It could happen in the timescale if we get cracking.

The council only seem to be capable of working on one active travel project at a time.

At the moment they are starting the foot of Leith Walk to Ocean Terminal. I'd be amazed if they had the capacity to manage anything else because they are completely bogged down trying to accommodate cars in the city

This incremental progress is utterly hopeless in terms of repairing the transport injustice that exists, and us standing a chance of a liveable future re climate damage.

    ‘Monument to Progress’??

Perhaps a big sword, embedded, almost up to the hilt, in a large anvil atop a stone engraved with the words, "Whoso pulleth out this sword from this stone and anvil is the true born Transport Convenor of all Edinburgh".
