Looks like CCWEL won't actually be complete until late 2029 (if ever)

It's incredible to think that Lesley Macinnes had more or less "done" Meadows to George St back in 2020, albeit in a temporary fashion. All it needed was the bus-gate on Bank St and some treatment at the junctions.
After those facilities were ripped out, now we're looking at mid 2027 before we get anything, some 7 years later...

Coming home last night about 10:30pm, I was struck by just how much traffic there was on Royal Mile, George IV Bridge and Teviot Place. It's really awful.
We've got such a long way to go...
