No mention of the short sharp shower of slightly haily-feeling rain at about 14:00 today?

Wish I'd read this thread sooner. Nappies hanging out to dry got soaked. Definitely some hail/snow/sleet in the rain over here.

Hail hit here around 1540. I had dumped my wet weather kit at the house when I picked up the trailer. It was fine when I went in to the nursery and stoatin' when we came out.

I was very wet, he was a little wet as the trailer isn't really built for that level of weather.

A colleague feels my Carradice cape is taking retro too far.

At least I now know why I saw a massive thunderhead this morning which was confusingly then followed by beautiful clear blue skies..

is really windy round there! Was wobbling all over the bus lane on the Calder Road and South Gyle Broadway trying to stay upright in the crosswind. For some reason I decided to take the most exposed possible route this morning. FAIL.

The Corstorphine road was pretty bad too today, kept gusting whenever you came to a cross street. And the taxis (and one bus) were all driving like [expletive deleted] today.

Hoping just to clip in and sail home tonight.

I didn't have as bad a time as I thought, it was still interesting though! Plus I saw a beautiful rainbow which made it worth it for me anyhow. I may feel differently on the way home..

The wind added three whole minutes to my ride in this morning when I was already running late, though I managed to clock in mere seconds before being officially proper late.

Yeah the rainbow going down from the innocent was amazing! it hovered just over my house when i got to porty too... almost wish i had a camera.

Was nice to be going with the wind for a change, been battling it combined with lateness for the last two days.

Hmm. Hope the projected direction is accurate so that I can be propelled home by having sleet hammered against my back.

I think the epicentre was outside my window. At first I thought it was the upstairs re-arranging the furniture but the rumbling grew quite a bit and then into claps of thunder...

I think it's either hail or hard rain outside now, and wind picked right up.

Best make sure I can select the granny gear for the morning!
