Dundee St closed at Fountainpark
Anyone know what happened?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Dundee Street is closed between Viewforth and Gibson Terrace due to a collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian.
Emergency services are in attendance and people are being urged to avoid the area.

For some reason that tweet has been deleted, but they have replaced it with this: https://x.com/PSOSEdinburgh/status/1803006050657763738
Also reported in EEN: https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/teenage-girl-in-hospital-after-being-hit-by-e-bike-on-busy-edinburgh-road-4669656
Note that both the new tweet and the EEN article refer to Dundee Road - but Google assures me that there is no such thoroughfare in Edinburgh. Such a mistake is par for the course for the EEN, the author of the article probably working from a location nowhere near Edinburgh and never having been here. But you'd expect better of the Polis. Maybe Google is wrong after all...
There's a Dundee Road in Perth and another in Forfar. Since neither of them as far as I know is Edinburgh, PSOSE is either massively out of its jurisdiction (but correctly reporting a remarkably long ambulance journey)...or it is being typically slack in its engagement on Twitter.
I suspect wheelie balaclava e bike rider rather than elderly Dutch helmet wearing rider. When my bike was stoke. A couple of weeks ago in Ayr where the cop shop is closed I had to phone Glasgow. My call back was maybe big call centre Loanhead? Despite my work moving to localities and learning communities and 20 min neighbourhoods. Other things are moving off world to call centres on the moon
The vast majority of e-bikes in the area are (food) delivery bikes with only the occasional "wheelie balaclava e bike rider" and hardly any "elderly Dutch helmet wearing riders"

Good point I have been seeing very slightly better Just Eat and Deliveroo e bike riders of late
But statistically it should be one of them
The Balaclava Boys have been wheelying up Balerno in recent days causing extreme consternation amongst the Neighbourhood watch
In fairness one was wheelying at me last week on NEPN on my way to Muirhouse and I did check just in case things went Pete Tong but was cool
Also balaclava wearing delivery riders. Saw one on Yeaman place around 9am today.
Saw an un-balaclava-ed wheelying fixie rider on Princes Street yesterday. He performed the stunt just after yelling at a couple of pedestrians who had stepped into the road in front of him, then swearing at them as he passed. Not exactly doing his bit for cyclist-pedestrian relations there I thought.
