10km cycle? is that the equivalent of a fun run or am i committing snobbery?

Imagine all the bikes that will be driven to Beecraigs to be ridden 10km. :-)

What do we reckon? I think 18 minutes is a fair time to "achieve" that in.

Very hilly around Beecraigs - from Linlithgow is quite a climb.

Instead of whizzing round, perhaps dressing in full business attire (inc. hat and with a briefcase clipped to the rack (and, in August, some precautions against developing sweat rashes)) and constantly jabbering meaningless business phraseology might make some sort of vague point to the other attendees about 10km being a lot more than many driven commutes. Or something.
