CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I meant to say this earlier - the links in the edi.bike emails all go via a link aggregate e.g. https://buttondown-0008.com/c/NjE2MzEwNzYtMTAyMi00ZThlLWExYjctYWUwM2ZiY2NlYmQzfDQ4NzZiODM2LTQ4ZGEtNGQ0Yy04ZmZkLTc5OGQxMWJjMDAxNXxodHRwczovL3BlZGFsb25wYXJsaWFtZW50Lm9yZ3xlbWFpbA== and my work blocks that URL as being "High risk" according to urlfiltering.paloaltonetworks.com.
I've been filling in their form to request they get recategorized so I can actually follow them, but they keep saying "Ok, that's been changed" but the links are still blocked - I suspect they're allowing the specific base64 encoded URL that I report rather than the domain.
I can always use an online base64 decode tool to get the correct URL if it really bothers me - or view the newsletter on the website; this only seems to affect the emails.
I dunno if the link aggregation is deliberate or useful, but maybe others are also seeing them being blocked at workplaces?
yeah, it is blocked at my work when using the VPN but strangely not when actually at work. Now I seem to get an "are you sure?"
Thanks - have passed this on to Buttondown.
Assume this is tied to stats about which links are clicked; which I would prefer to keep, but they're clearly not getting feedback that it's been flagged by corporate safety tools.
Reading on web is a good workaround for now.
Lovely stuff, thanks! And thank you for all the work on edi.bike in general - I owe you a beer or 5!
Ahhh thank you - and thanks for reading!

@mcairney ha! Had my fair share of those. This is the Hermitage of Braid just before the big hoose / Pentland Hills Regional Park HQ (apparently!)
