PY coffee this Friday, 8:00/8:30/onwards?
Based on this thread it looks like we're moving on from the traditional PY to Canopy Kitchen & Courtyard, further up Middle Meadow walk. (At least until Gembo/JDP get us barred from there too).

Alas I have to head to the far west near Cumnock on Friday
I can freely drink expensive unpleasant coffee at PY - indeed I was served when it finally opened that day.
It is just Illustrious Leader, JDP, Dave and MCairney that are barred.
Anyway Cano(PY) is way better.

I'd be up for this, probably be there about 8.30. Canopy way nicer than that other place - better coffee, cheaper, cycle parking right by the door, staff that actually speak to customers.

i have a cousin in Cumnock, she'll be disappointed to know it's cancelled. That said, from what I recall of going there, it'd be no great loss.

In 1984 we took the money collected in cans at the Varsity down to Drongan [near Cumnock] to give directly to the striking miners because the SWP spread a rumour that the Glasgow Central Collectng place was taking a cut.
We had also been to Hunterston the day after the mass demo [two miners only].
And finally we went to the chip shop in Cumnock where i was sent to order the potato fritters as I could speak the local patois. Thus not incurring wrath upon the varsity boys and girls.
