@srd the wol path is not gritted but as there is no rain, the frost is mainly not slippy. Same as towpath. Only once this week have I lost traction. On the acqueduct when i was traversing a splash which had frozen. You should be fine going slow. And easy,

That frozen spash on Tuesday, was the on slippy bit, althoug quite a big spash, something had come out of the water there.
I think I went over just after Gembo as I did a late spot as we passed.
My collegue who was 30 minutes later than me didn't notice it!

@chrisfl, i thought it was you though you were wrapped up well. The ice was still in the grooves of the setts in the afternoon put you had to be looking for it. Could have been an otter coming out or was from a barge, hopefully not a cyclist falling in

thankfully hockey at peffermill has been cancelled so I don't have a shepherd a bunch of inexperienced teenage male cyclists over a potentially icy path....

Pitch will. Be frozen ish - more frosty unless Thatcher has sprayed it with water then it will be slidey.

yes. we knew pitch would be frozen. but couldn't stand down until pitch inspection at 7.30 which (somehow) took over an hour to be communicated to teams. by which point kids had to be in school. <head desk>
