Here's one for train nerds (me included)...
There's a 'thing' at Northampton where one of the station staff has gone through the tickets relinquished at the station gates to see how many of 2,600 UK stations they have had a traveller from.
So far (after several years) they are at c.2,000 and have put them on a big display on the wall.
Someone has compiled a list of those missing
By my reckoning there is still around 160 of the 360 Scottish stations unfilled.
Not a surprise that lots are missing but also surprising for some they already have, like Georgemas Junction, Dunrobbin Castle, Tyndrum Upper & Maybole to name a few...
Plenty of suburban Edinburgh Stations still do as well if anyone fancies a daytrip to Northampton sometime...
