All Aboard to Northampton

Here's one for train nerds (me included)...

There's a 'thing' at Northampton where one of the station staff has gone through the tickets relinquished at the station gates to see how many of 2,600 UK stations they have had a traveller from.

So far (after several years) they are at c.2,000 and have put them on a big display on the wall.

Someone has compiled a list of those missing

    https://docs.google.com/file/d/180Q8_9sjMy8uXe5CC-rXJLQEy3EpwDqA/edit?usp=docslist_api&filetype=msexcel

By my reckoning there is still around 160 of the 360 Scottish stations unfilled.

Not a surprise that lots are missing but also surprising for some they already have, like Georgemas Junction, Dunrobbin Castle, Tyndrum Upper & Maybole to name a few...

Plenty of suburban Edinburgh Stations still do as well if anyone fancies a daytrip to Northampton sometime...

I knocked off Kingsknowe and Slateford yesterday with one of my minions.

6 trains needed but all were close enough to their scheduled time that we made all our connections.

Lovely views of the snow (heaviest around Woolfords) until about Wigan. Below that there were lots of flooding.

Wester Hailes and Curriehill still need to be done if anyone fancies it...
