Hi All,
Is anyone aware of a pub/cafe/shop that is planning to show Paris-Roubaix on Sunday? My first thoughts were The Tourmalet and Detour Espresso but I couldn't get through to either on the phone.
Cheers.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

@Rik, sorry I mean Mc - hmmmm, Is Tourmalet still operating? Detour probably is but does he even have a telly?
Good luck
Gembo
Pretty sure Detour doesn't have a telly. Would the Ventoux at Tollcross show it? Not been in there in years mind.
@McVanLooy if you fancy a trip to West Calder then Pedal Power will be showing both women's (on Saturday) and men's (on Sunday) from 11am onwards.
More details on their Facebook.
They seem to be doing quite a lot of screenings recently after opening their new show room.
Not a member, but I believe Edinburgh Gravel Club have booked a venue to watch it in after their ride on Sunday. I think they'd be open to having folk join them, but you should check that with them.
@Frenchy, Yes, they are going to Espy in Porty prom after a graudax ride and they got access to a screen (and a log in details of one of the local riders) to show it. Everyone welcome they say. Max (the organiser) will be there from 1pm.
@gembo I believe The Tourmalet is still going strong. For some reason I thought The Ventoux had closed but it appears I was wrong @Morningsider
Cheers @bill and @Frenchy I might make my way down to The Espy on Sunday then. Will look out Pedal Power next time I'm out west.
I guess road cycling as spectator sport is still too niche to expect a dedicated cafe/bar!
do we have a racing thread anymore?
I'll admit to having paid over the odds for TNT. Pretty crappy, but Amstel today was well worth the watch.
Remco burnt his matches bringin Skjelmose over to Pogacar Tactics?
Fietsclub Balerno Road Captain found a deal as an existing EE customer. HE bought a new TV from them and now gets free cycling broad=casts.
We thought we got a good deal when we moved - got discovery+ free via Sky. I guess we got a year out of it.
Skelmose's post race interview was interesting -- he clearly didn't think he had that sprint left in him.
But more generally - we are so tired of these races that end when Tadej takes off. How much fun was it to see him caught?! and that finish?! Wild.
