Hello folks
I am still in the early stages of figuring out some kind of crowd funding
A fellow dad at the high school and group member of the dad group had an accident involving a pedestrian and sadly has been paralysed. After a lot of effort he managed to regain some mobility in his hands but as I have not met with him and hear all this through the dads group who have been to visit him
He was recently discharged from the Spinal Unit in Glasgow and sent home to Edinburgh expected to fend for himself so I want to get something to hopefully help him get
- Electric wheelchair like the hospital one
Possibly a recumbent e-bike he can operate with hands only
Other stuff for the home and his daughter to cope
his career as an artist will be difficult but I imagine he will not stop. his own page is here if you want to take a look
Looking at
crowd funding
go fund me
donorbox
and trying to figure out which would be best and have no fees or "tips" needed to not lose funding to the soulless site owners, any advice greatly appreciated
Intend to spread word to Critical Mass and Pedal On Parliament groups to get started and hopefully go national to see how much of a difference we could make to his life going forward
