I need a new battery powered front headlight, suitable for use in the city and for the odd short section of unlit path. Nothing fancy or super expensive. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

ALDI might still have their pack on-line that comes with the great backlight - motion sensor and darkness sensor

Lezyne do a STVZO compliant front for £55. Which will avoid blinding comrades

If it’s something cheaper you want, Aldi, Lidl or Halfords

Love it
Possibly not best for unlit path though haven't had to rely on it that farPosted 1 month ago # -
I've got a cheaper, lower power Lezyne STVZO set (which Tredz have for £36) which I've found to be pretty good, including the odd bit of unlit canal. In particular, the beam shaping makes it much easier to light paths further ahead without blinding oncoming pedestrians.

I had a little blinks Lezyne on tonight was not bad when darkness thumped down early. Lot of people dressed entirely in black walking black dogs. Only going to get worse next week

I've been using Lidl's own brand front/rear light set for a few years now and really like it. STVZO-compliant beam up front has a good throw, and the wee red LED for the back is also pretty bright. I use the rear one as backup to another rear, and generally run one (and sometimes two) of the front lights, with a Moon Comet as back up.

Thanks everyone. I couldn't find any Aldi or Lidl lights, so ended up going for the Lezyne light suggested by Bacam.
