Does anyone know when we might hear who are the current transport spokespersons at the Scottish Parliament?

With Pedal on Parliament coming up very soon, it would be really useful to know who they are so that we can invite them to join us at PoP ;-)

On the same theme, I would encourage everyone here to, not only attend #PoP26 but also invite all of your newly elected MSPs to come along as well... :-)

I don't think any of the parties have announced their spokespeople yet. The Cabinet are likely to be appointed later this week (possibly Thursday). I would expect announcements from the other parties around the same time or early next week.

Stephen Flynn announced as cabinet secretary for Economy, Transport and Tourism. There will presumably be a junior transport minister announcement later this week.

Gillian Martin also announced as cabinet secretary for Climate Action.

Meanwhile, Stephen Flynn, the former SNP Westminster leader who made the switch to Holyrood at the election earlier this month, was appointed Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Tourism and Transport. His role will take in challenging areas such as ferries and the dualling of the A9.

The Cabinet Secretary is supported by the Minister for Business and Employment, Richard Lochhead.

@chdot - techncially correct, as Stephen Flynn only becomes Cabinet Secretary when approved by the Scottish Parliament and (I think) the King.
