“Raleigh faces administration after parent company starts insolvency proceedings

    Babboe Frame breakages would be a factor. I note that Babboes are still around. Assume (ie hope!) parents have checked that their model isn't one affected.

    Brands includes Batavus city bikes, Koga touring bikes & the Babboe and Carqon cargo brands – as well as Raleigh, Lapierre, & German marques Haibike, Winora, & Ghost. It employs around 3,700 people in 15 countries.

    Their Amsterdam HQd rivals are PON Group that have a folio that includes Urban Arrow, Cervelo, Santa Cruz and others including the Dutch Gazelle city bike brand.
    It's not good news for anyone though and the warning signs were showing a while back.

    Additional info... DuTech from Singapore were trying to acquire Accell but this fell through.
