While having a coffee this lunchtime with chdot he noticed that the new Haymarket bike racks had been installed, so we went for a gander (seriously, how bike geeky are we???)
These are the old racks, still with quite a lot of bikes attached - some imaginatively.
Whereas these are the new (sort of) covered racks.
The space in between the racks is good (as proven by the Vespa) but it still all feels a bit half-hearted. The 'roof' leaves the back part completely open (that wall is only providing a partial cover). Why not extend the clear covering down the back and at the sides as well?
Still, good to see new racks in, so shouldn't complain really.
