  8. Yes. Indeed. Actually, while you pore over pottery I'll likely be ckecking work emails... :P

Must fix the puncture on the Kaff tonight and swap cleats on the shoes - tis the more sensible bike to head out on tomorrow.

"tis the more sensible bike to head out on tomorrow"

    How many gears...

    I can't decide which bike.

    Default white.

'New' fluoro - 'bars may be 'too urban' - but it has got a front mech now.

'Preferred' grey - still needs some work to get it back on the road.

WE'll just have to cycle to a different café then! All part of the "adventure"

    30. But it's more having the full 'guards and slightly wider tyres.

ruggtomcat First metric tonne on a 'bent!

Well done - and along with a 'hardcore' rider too... (Kaputnik did the Xborder Challenge 100 last year and reputedly thought little of it!)

You'll be glad to get back on a wedgie then...
Thought I said that the 'bent was only for pottering on...;-)

oops... :P Im sure K-nik thought it was 'pottering'.

All that rough terrain really improved my riding skills tho.

the end of the innocent after the Harry Lauder Road underpass (the abandoned shopping unit with the big empty car park, where Sustrans want you to take your bike across the railway on the stepped footbridge)

    I think it's 1030 now

  23. Righto, decision made! 1030 at the old Big W!

It's basically on NCN1 Ruggers, opposite the Asda at the Jewel.

Here. Underneath the tram. 1030. If you're early just spin around in the abandoned carpark pretending you're Danny Megaskills trying to cycle acrosss the footbridge on a tourer. If you get bored you can admire the old retaining walls of the Lothian Lines flyover or scrabble around in the tarmac for traces of Niddrie North box.
