    Apologies if it's old news, but for those who fancy an old school cycling cap (ala Yehuda Moon ;-)), but can't quite find one to suit, here's couple of (ok, 3) links to plans so simple even I may be forced to stab my hands with needles in a vain attempt to emulate ;-);

    Or get a Lowe Alpine hat with wire supported ear flaps from Go Outdoors. Cozy and water resistant.

    I think we are looking less at this style:

    and more along these lines:

    Both earn style points imho, but the former suits the weather just now and (hopefully!) the latter the weather to come later this year when I may wish some protection for my solar panel(!) which doesn't cause me to overheat :)

    The one on the pic on 'dudecraft' looks like a baseball cap (old style fabric one c. 1970s and earlier) NOT the sort I remember my big brother wearing also c. 1970s.

    So, not convinced by its authenticity, but don't have anything else to offer - sorry!

    Yeah I think he's changed the peak quite radically for the dudecraft one, the other pics show a much shorter peak with a more even radius, I guess that's the advantage of homebrewing, you can make what you like (if you have the appropriate skills hi hi)
