CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Arrived ahead of time.
Third in line.
Waiting.
I wanted to do Goth. Bet you it was good.
Thought Cyclingmollie was with you? Couldn't see in pics. Anth's in a few shots.
Funny. I think must've seen Anth this morning at about 10:30am loitering on the bridge at the big W then a short while later I must've passed Kaputnik ( black rimmed glasses and race face) heading to meet him on the bingham cycle path as I was heading back into town having dropped my van off at the garage in joppa. Looks like you had a good day for it.
I looked at the 8th photo on the everytrail link and thought there was some close up brick viewing action going on at first. Bit disapointed to see it was a bird hide.
Laidback. I'd have loved to have gone but today was a work day in town. CCE visits the Honest Toun and I'm in Edinburgh.
chdot et al. I see you encountered the "oh great they've fixed up the path, oh no they haven't" Brunstane Burn path work in progress. Hope you liked the Goth.
Cyclingmollie - you can do tour round your area with me and anyone who missed out. Just pm - or start post
'the real mini-tour of the post-industrial east'!
places limited... book today... beware of copies...
Laidback, that sounds like a plan. I will have a look at my diary. Could do with finding a destination. At the risk of sounding like a lonely hearts column, I'm not into bird-watching but do like cafe stops, countryside.
Cyclingmollie you weren't wrong about the "pottery beach" - lots of interesting specimens for the collection - one that I would certainly say was both old and rare.
yeah I spent all day hanging around with grown men looking at bricks and seaguls.. At least it was a relaxing ride, apart from the UPD(s).
wot headwind?
Got a few photos uploading just now - including a first ever sighting for me for the wildlife thread. :)
Thanks for the ride today guys, really quite interesting and utterly relaxing - nice to find some new routes, AND eat in two new places.
aha also spotted chdot on the bingham path this morning......
With that skullcap (I couldn't find my hipster-cool Raleigh knitted cap this morning) I look like I have a Lego head on!
Of course the real reason we were out was for some quality "bricking". Anth spotted this one, it's frogless (doesn't have a recess in the surface) so probably dates from the first half of the 19th century. It's in not bad nick considering.
Are you lot still staring at bricks?
(apologies in advance to RTC for his public humiliation - I was trying to photograph him cycling!)
I was trying to cycle! that was tough stuff to walk on, never mind ride.
