The plastic skittering noise I heard last night made me check that my phone was still in my pocket and that all lights were still attached but I didn't notice the absence of computer until I tried to check my distance a little later on. If anyone sees the chipped and shattered remains of a CatEye Enduro 8 anywhere on Bruntsfield Place between Leamington Terrace and Tollcross I'd be grateful for its return, or at least for the odometer reading.

Before I replace it with one identical (which will only be my third; the first survived being laundered but was too warped to fit the bracket) has anyone used anything else around that price point?

That sound is horrible ain't it. I always remember when my cherry bomb 1 escaped. The crunch of it dying at the feet of an Astra still haunts me.

Cherry bomb 2 live on with glory.

I lost a two week old mitty under the wheels of a double decker, case was fine screen wasn't...

Never did replace it, still got the mount on my bars.

Wingpig, I recently bought a new-old-stock Mity 8 to replace my Cateye Micro wireless, whose 70cm transmission distance is being tested to its limits on my Brompton. I haven't got around to doing the swap yet but the Micro would become surplus to requirements.

Alternatively, I'm really liking my Planet Bike Protege 8.0 computer which I bought for my monstrous invisiblebike. Functionally much like the Enduro/Mity/Micro, with the no-buttons of the Strada, and the screen size of a Panoram.

Hmmm. I'm very low on handlebar-space so smaller is better, especially when I tend to not glance at it often enough to either notice when the magnet is mounted on another wheel or that the computer itself has jumped overboard.
How much d'you pay for your new/old Mity and how much would you want for the Micro (and how have you found the wirelessness versus blinky lights)?

I threw my first Cateye Enduro 8 in the bin when I was madly tidying my house up for visitors... The replacement has survived various amounts of abuse in its 6 month lifespan. The RSP15 front light has made a habit of shaking loose on bad cobbly surfaces if it isn't soundly clicked in but has survived 2 such dismounts with only moderate cracks appearing.

I walked up that road today with the wee one. Kept my eye out for it but couldn't see it.
