It's quite exciting all those flashing lights.
An unknown chemical substance has been found.
Nothing too serious I presume as people are allowed up and down Dalry however to get into our flat at James Square we had to go through a cordon.

4 Fire engines, some cool fire response units, various ambulances and incident response units.
Brightened the night up as I got a puncture on the Roseburn path but managed up to the tram works before it went flat. Glad it was and not mussleburgh etc as I didn't take my repair kit!

    Wonder what it is...

Forgot to say you can still walk/cycle through it. Just closed to vehicular access.
Think the police woman said white powder but not sure...

This sounds suspiciously to me like the piles of flour that Hash House Harriers leave during their runs. It's probably linked to the similar piles of flour currently visible at Craighouse and down the little muddy path by the railway from Craighouse to Craiglockhart Station.

If the mysterious 'F' was by a pub, then I think the evidence would be conclusive...

Points to Greenroofer, it is those dastardly runners:

Its a wonder the running club aren't leaving them selves open to a lareg bill from the local authority.

Similar to that youth in West lothian who parked his car in the icey canal, and ended up with a 19,000 pound recovery bill.

But seriously, the UK is becoming very bearucratic [sp??]. Nothings left to common sense. I imagine 20 years ago, a local bobby (on a bicycle) might have stuck his finger in the power and sen it was flour all along.
